Adventure April is Upon Us

Adventure April is here. I thought maybe the little hill on my commute would be enough to qualify for elevation gain/5% grade.  However, the hill only gains me 64'.  Ride with GPS, also, for some reason has me descending on some sections, even though it's a climb all the way, so, I'm not sure how far to trust it.  The average grade of the hill is 5.1%, so as far as averages go, that's OK.

The trail heads downhill from there.  I reset Ride once I began climbing again, and though I gain an extra 491', the average grade is only 2.6%, since there are some dips and some flat sections.

I was thinking of riding out to Cafe Fina with my wife on Saturday, to go for the distance challenge, though I believe the cafe is only about 12 miles out - does it count if you stop for lunch in the middle of the ride?  However, we might try to head out to the Tesuque Village Market to get the climbing in, though that's one slog of a climb, even in granny gear, and it's a long climb on a high speed road with bad shoulders, and an even steeper drop down the other side into Tesuque.  We'll think about that one.
